(Putting Your Best Foot Forward)

I couldn’t figure out how to add a RSS feed to my facebook personal profile. I’m still new at this and mucking around, and I’m sure there’s a way. (I did find a tutorial on how to create an RSS Feed Reader, and there was an application to add a RSS feed reader to your facebook personal profile, but I’m looking for something a little easier.)

The whole point of us branching into facebook is to harness the power of Web 2.0 and start to create a social networking community that drives this site. We discovered how to create multiple pages in facebook that each act like a personal profile, but with the added bonus of being completely accessible to search engines. (Personal profiles show a limited search profile, depending on your privacy settings.)

Now we’ve discovered that you can use notes to add all of the latest posts from your blog.

With Facebook Notes, you can share your life with your friends through written entries. You can tag your friends in notes, and they can leave comments. The Notes application page displays notes recently written by your friends, notes in which your friends have been tagged, and links to your own notes.

But Facebook Notes also allows you to import your posts from your blog as an RSS feed which means that our publicly accessible webdiggin facebook page also provides links to our latest posts on our site.

Bottom Line: Use Facebook Notes on your Facebook Page to link to the RSS feed of your website and drive traffic. We’re linking up the social networking sites, baby. We’ll keep you posted.
