Did you pay too much for your domain name?
WebDiggin.com is an adventure to Make Money Online. The WebDiggin cashflow report is where we show you how much money we’ve made online.
Sorry, I don’t have a good excuse for delaying the cashflow report for Feb 2008. We try to wait a few days after the end of the month before doing the numbers because there are always a few commissions that trickle through after the end of the month. But lavely, we just got busy trying to build traffic through social networking, so we apologize.
In Jan 2008, we saw a profit of $137.84. This month, we had a profit of $58.10. All numbers are in USD. We use the event date for the cashflow report, but we use the click date when we are examining the success of a search marketing campaign.
So. Lets look at the numbers.

Revenue primarily came from our affiliate marketing campaigns with Commission Junction. $155.86 came from our one successful search marketing campaign, however due to changes with the way Yahoo is dealing with keyword bidding, this campaign will likely slow down or stop completely. $43.96 came from Google AdSense.
Expenses appeared in the form of keyword bidding for our Search Marketing campaign ($141.72), as well as transfering our Gohanyo.ca domain over to 10dollar.ca which offers Canadian domain names for $10.
Although it appears as if we had a small profit margin in Feburary compared to January, it’s important to note that in January, we recieved a coupon for $45 from Google AdWords and $50 from Yahoo Search Marketing which provided a one-time source of income. (If we ignore the free coupons, January 2008 still had a profit of $43.24 which is comparable to Feburary 2008’s profit of $58.10)
Next Steps:
- Monitor our affiliate marketing campaign with CJ carefully due to upcoming changes in Yahoo.
- Investigate Sponsored Posts as a means of income generation.
- Increase traffic to this site to allow greater opportunities with Pay Per Post.
